smile-card$3 at Joosy Card Co. [Etsy]

This site has been lacking in updates.

I’ve been quite busy the last 1.5 months. I survived a handful of interviews and finally landed a job that began last week! To thank all those who had helped me along the way, I went on Etsy to look for “Thank You” cards. That’s how I actually came across Joosy Card Co.

Even though I don’t have a photo of the actual cards I ordered because the photos were taken down as soon as I placed the order, the site is still worth a visit to see what other cards Jeynifer has in stock!

Bike Rides in a Dress Necklace

bike-necklace$38 at soitsgray [Etsy]

I bought a beach cruiser to ride around the Playa later this month. So this bicycle necklace caught my eye as I was browsing around Etsy.

If I was rolling with a little extra cash right now, my next purchase would be this – bike rides in a dress necklace from soitsgray. It’s absolutely stunning for being so simple. A sterling silver bicycle hanging on silver plated chain with fresh water pearls.

The best part? It’s handmade!

obi-buckle$10 at Gamiworks [Etsy]

Random cute find on Etsy – ladybugs! The Obi Buckle is created using lacquered Japanese chiyogami (old-paper) and high quality polished nickel mechanisms (polished brass finish is also available). The buckle is 1 7/8″ x 2 5/8″. Obi belts are sold separately for $10 each, so what you can do is buy one belt and attach varying buckles!

For all the vegetarians and vegans out there, all Obi Belts & Buckles are made using no animal byproducts. Check out the other designs!

Nervous Robot Plush

nervous-robot$12 at DogBone Art [Etsy]

The expression on the faces of these robots cracks me up big time, so I had to share this great find!

Why would/how could these robots possibly be so nervous or suspicious?

A recent addition to the DogBoneArt shop, these 11-inch robots are hand screen printed on soft felt in non-toxic water based black ink. You can choose either a soft pink or gray robot with colorful buttons. Let them do the worrying for you!

UPDATE: Looks like sold out! Here’s a link to the Grey Nervous Robot Plush for $8!

Cassette Tape Ring

cassette-ring$7 at Plastique* [Etsy]

This 3mm laser-cut ring made of acrylic brings me back to the day of the mixtape!

I remember when I used to sit there with a cassette tape in the deck, waiting for a song I liked to come on the radio. I’d have one finger on the record button, the other on the stop button, ready to capture the song onto tape.

Lacy Victorian Choker

Monday, July 6th, 2009

vict-choker-front$15 at Hexotica [Etsy]

This beautiful choker designed by Christine Rice is made of black satin ribbon, burgundy scalloped picot lace, a hand-stitched black lace ruffle and rosette, and a black sequin center. It measures approximately 11×1.2 in. More precisely, 28×3 cm.

vict-choker-backCheck out the back of this! It closes corset-style with eyelets and lacing! This piece is meant to be one-size fits all.

I am particularly proud of this find and actually own this one already. There are other great designs posted on the Etsy site if you’re into this style.

hedgehog-bag$17 at Rainbow Swirlz

Rainbow Swirlz, which I originally found on Etsy, is currently having a sale until July 15th! This adorable field bag is 100% cotton with cotton webbing straps and an inside hanging zippered pocket. All screenprinting is done by hand. I think this is normally $20. $17 for the sale.

Hedgehogs are adorable. Admit it!
